Your dress is practically the first thing that any employer would see in an interview. Always be mindful that there are those jobs that will need a decent outfit for work as well as for interview. If you're trying to apply for field work such as construction, mine, farm, etc then you can just put on casual wears.

If you going to wear a suit, make sure that it fits properly. You should also consider the right color of a tie to match your suit. As they say "first impressions last" which is most likely the same with a job interview. You should be able to showcase your best in this process.

As soon as you have the suit part worked out, it is time to focus your attention on the company you're applying a job to. Research is always important. Learn all the things that you can from the company that you want to get yourself employed in. It is important for you to know what the goals of the company are.

Their brand should be something that you know easily. Determine what sort of products or services they are offering. Likewise, you should also be aware of any logos or slogans that they have. Who was the owner/chief executive/other important people in the company?

Once you have done your research, you'll be able to answer questions regarding the company's info easily. You can include some of the information that you learned in the answers to some of the questions they may ask.

Next, you want to be aware of the kind of questions they will be asking. Among those questions that you should expect would be the question - why do you want to work in this company? You should already figure out a good answer for this specific question and add a bit of info about the company in it. Another question that can pop out in an interview would be your strengths as well as your weaknesses.

To gauge your response as well as emotional reaction, they shoot out these kinds of questions. By that time, you should have already be calm and speak of your great answer. Try to imagine yourself doing the interview in front of a mirror and think of good ways how you would say your answers. Simply think of the deficiencies of others when asked what are your weaknesses so as to draw the interviewers attention away from you personally.

They might ask you about your job experience. Emphasize key areas, the ones you're most comfortable with, and the ones you're most successful at. Don't volunteer any negative information. Speak to it only if asked and be honest.

After the interview is over, thank the person. In a couple of days, contact that person again and thank them for spending their time with you. That gives the impression that you're still interested in the job, and that goes a long ways.
